We all have the same needs when it comes to oral hygiene. But for globe-trotting individuals, their water flosser must come with some extra travel-friendly features.
For one, it must be easily portable, so size and weight are a big consideration. Two, the flosser must come with a case that does fairly well in absorbing shock. Three, you must be able to use it anywhere. Is it designed only for US and Canada outlets?
Waterpik – arguably the world’s most popular brand of water flossers – has 3 models that target people on the go. We list all these Waterpik water flossers down below.
Waterpik Sidekick (WF-04)
The Sidekick‘s truly impressive feature is its collapsible design. When you’re done flossing your teeth, its transparent water tank transforms into a case for your flosser’s base. Yup, you can slide the base into the reservoir, making the whole unit as compact as possible.
When it comes to flossing, though, expect basic functionalities. It doesn’t come with a whitening handle, and it doesn’t have a timer. Its 13-ounce water tank is good for a 60-second flossing session, and overall, this unit weighs 1.05 pounds.
What’s the disadvantage? It comes with only 1 flosser tip, and this tip doesn’t have a protective case.

Waterpik Cordless Advanced (WP-560)
Of the three Waterpik water flossers for travelers, the Waterpik Cordless Advanced is the only one that has a built-in rechargeable battery. The word “advanced” describes it very well because it has the following features.
One, it looks fresh and more modern than the previous Waterpik models. The chrome accent gives it a sleek look, and the LED indicators add a nice touch. Two, it comes with a magnetic rapid-charge system. This oral irrigator charges inductively. Three, it has a 360-degree rotating tip. Four, not only does it come with 4 tips, but it also has a protective case for these tips.
Waterpik Traveler (WP-300)
The Waterpik Traveler is the “oldest” Waterpik model designed especially for travelers. This is a countertop flosser with a detachable water tank that you can easily flip to cover the entire unit. It has 4 unique tips, and it comes with a travel case.
One of its disadvantages is its size. It’s not as compact as the Waterpik Sidekick.
